Southern Nevada faced alarming rates of tobacco use among employees at major companies, significantly impacting workplace productivity and public health outcomes. Nevada Cancer Institute needed an innovative, employer-focused program to address this critical issue.

The Solution

The Hills Tandem (THT), certified by the Mayo Clinic as Tobacco Treatment Specialists, collaborated with Nevada Cancer Institute to create and execute a cutting-edge tobacco cessation program across the region.

Customized Program Design: Developed a six-week evidence-based program tailored for major employers like MGM Grand Hotel, NV Energy, and The Mirage.

Strategic Implementation: Partnered with regional employers and the Southern Nevada Health District to roll out the program seamlessly, ensuring accessibility and participation.

Innovative Techniques: Integrated advanced cessation methods, including behavioral therapy and digital tools, to maximize effectiveness and participant support.

Key Results

89% Quit Rate: Achieved a remarkable success rate within three months of program implementation.

Regional Collaboration: Built strong partnerships with leading employers and health organizations to scale program delivery.

Scalable Design: Established a replicable framework for expanding the program across additional regions and companies.
